How to Connect

The Coffee Electronics CEDP1100 uses two main connections for operation: a USB-A connector for the required 5 V power supply, and a signal output connector for instruments with SMA inputs and 50 Ω impedance.

The probe is compatible with oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, vector network analyzers, and Coffee Electronics eLABin1 instruments. For more information about eLABin1, visit:

As shown in the examples below , the probe can be directly connected through SMA RF inputs. Instruments using BNC or TNC connectors may require an adapter.

Grounding

For differential measurements, connect both probe inputs to the signal under test.

For single-ended measurements, connect one probe input to ground and the other to the signal.

Keep all ground connections as short as possible to minimize noise and improve measurement stability.
